Christmas

Trust Newsletter Autumn Term 2023

As I sit here writing this I can hear the children of Winhills singing” We wish you a merry Christmas” and even though the autumn term is the longest and always feels the busiest, it is hard to believe that we are already over a third of the way through the academic year.

One of the most remarkable aspects of our schools is the resilience of our pupils and staff and how they continue to make achievements no matter what the hurdles, and it is with this in mind that I am delighted to share the news that Thomas Eaton and Roman Way have each had an Ofsted and are now officially good schools.  We are so proud of all that has been achieved in both schools.

We were very excited to welcome the pupils, staff and parents of Burrowmoor Primary Academy in March to our Trust. This takes the number of schools in the DLPT to 15 across Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire and Peterborough.

I am delighted to announce the appointment of our new CFOO, Jonathan Lewis, who will start in his role in February 2024. Jonathan is currently Director of Education for Cambridgeshire County Council and has over 24 year’s experience working with schools. This wealth of expertise will ensure our Trust continues to deliver the absolute best to our schools, supporting both our staff and children and making a difference to the community.

May I take this opportunity to wish you all a very peaceful and happy Christmas and hope you enjoy the festive break.

Regards

Susannah Connell, CEO, The Diamond Learning Partnership Trust
