Trust Newsletter Spring Term 2024

A Message from Susannah Connell, CEO, The Diamond Learning Partnership Trust Easter is now upon us. We have had a very busy month and I know you will all be looking forward to a break, ready to return to school feeling refreshed on Monday 15th April to start the Summer Term.

This spring term has not been as we expected for all the pupils at King James. The damage to the roof of one of the school buildings on the 2nd January resulted in Year 7 to Year 10 not being able to return to the school until the 6th March. It cannot be underestimated the herculean effort that everyone put in to firstly finding places large enough to house the pupils to redesigning the entire curriculum so that it could be taught either in the weekly face to face or learning virtually. I would like to thank all of King James staff, they went above and beyond for the pupils in their care.

There has also been lots of positives such as the Year 6 children from across the Trust travelled to London for the Young Voices concert at the O2. World Book Day across the Trust. I know that everyone was very creative with their costumes and all the children and staff looked fantastic.

I would like to thank the children for working so hard and being a credit to their school, which leads me on to thanking you as parents for having such wonderful children. I would also like to send my appreciation to all of the staff in the Trust who work tirelessly to ensure every child has the education they deserve.
